Warehouse Team Leader

£35,000 per year
Monday - Sunday 6am - 10pm (rotating shifts)
Flexibility needed to work weekends and evenings
Our client is a dynamic and fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) company dedicated to providing exceptional supply chain solutions for their clients.
As an Assistant Warehouse Manager you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations within the warehouse. Supporting the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the team, maintain compliance with safety standards, and ensure that the clients’ inventory is handled efficiently and accurately.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee inbound and outbound operations, from verifying incoming goods to ensuring flawless dispatches.
- Motivate, coach, and develop a team of operatives to exceed performance goals while living our core values.
- Monitor KPIs (order accuracy, fulfilment time) and use data-driven strategies to improve performance.
- Make the warehouse a safe, efficient, and compliant place for every team member.
- Take charge during disruptions—whether it’s staffing, equipment hiccups, or supply chain challenges.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to refine processes and set new benchmarks.
- Lead daily team huddles, spark enthusiasm, and ensure everyone is aligned on goals and priorities.
- Identify areas for improvement, roll out training, and encourage a culture of innovation.
What You’ll need to succeed:
- 2+ years in warehouse operations and 1+ years leading teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience leading teams of 20+ staff members
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and a keen interest in automation tools.
- You don’t just fix issues—you anticipate and prevent them.
