On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Junior Process Engineer to join a thriving manufacturing business experiencing continued growth and expansion. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and solutions to production teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist in sourcing and implementing new machinery, ensuring smooth integration into production processes.
  • Analyse and improve production workflows using Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to deliver process improvement initiatives.
  • Review new product designs with engineering, design, and production teams before manufacturing.
  • Support the creation of accurate manufacturing documentation and assist with production routing.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for candidates with a proactive approach, strong technical skills, and a passion for process improvement.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly involving process or product introduction.
  • Proven experience creating manufacturing documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and MRP systems.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • A hands-on problem solver with strong communication skills, capable of working across all levels of the business.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with sheet metal or deep drawing processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in low-to-mid volume batch manufacturing.
  • Background in troubleshooting process issues and addressing quality concerns.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, as well as 5S or Six Sigma principles.
