We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join a finance team within a fast-paced and growing company. This position is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to support a dynamic team in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.
Day to Day of the role:- Support day-to-day Accounts Payable tasks, track payments, and reconcile bank statements.
- Process purchase invoices and follow up on supplier queries to ensure timely payment.
- Post and prepare bank transactions across multiple currency accounts.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate ledger balances.
- Prepare analysis reports for damaged goods and manage purchase orders.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide administrative support by answering finance-related queries, offering support via phone and email, and completing additional tasks as requested.
- Studying towards AAT, CIMA, or ACCA, or already AAT qualified.
- Proficiency in finance software packages and intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
- A sharp eye for detail and accuracy in processing transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership of tasks and solve problems efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Commitment to ongoing development, either through studying towards an accountancy qualification or relevant practical experience.
- Competitive salary of £25k-£26k per annum.
