We are working with a highly respected Secondary school with an OFSTED Good rating who are seeking a dedicated and innovative Design Technology Teacher to join their faculty. Located in Tonbridge, the school prides itself on fostering a supportive community where students and staff alike can flourish. The role is full time to begin immediately (pending clearance) and will end at the end of the academic year.

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and educating their students in areas including Resistant Materials, Engineering, Electronics, Product Design, Textiles, and Graphics. Key Responsibilities - Design Technology Teacher:

  • Plan, deliver, and mark the Design Technology curriculum to KS3/4 level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Foster a positive & safe learning environment
  • Effectively manage classroom & individual behaviour management in line with school policies
  • Liaise with colleagues and parents to ensure a high standard of support for all pupils

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, we will require the following:

  • Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an alternative, equivalent qualification
  • Own or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the Update Service, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
