Ara is looking for a likeminded and purpose driven Development Manager for the Wales region, a critical role within the organisation and somebody who will take the great work that has already been done for the nation of Wales and enhance, grow and develop the services they offer.

This is a broad role that will involve building network, utilising connections (existing and new) and "selling" the products and services that Ara deliver to help and reach more beneficiaries.

The Development Manager role will be paying between £50,000 and £60,000 per annum with excellent benefits including up to 32 days annual leave and a flexible work schedule. With offices in Bangor and Tonypandy, this role will involve travel across Wales and visits to these offices.

The Development Manager Role

This role would suit somebody with an existing network within the Welsh region and somebody who has the skill set and attitudes to develop further, the passion for delivering life changing services to vulnerable individuals whilst living and breathing the ethos and values that every colleague already does.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing stakeholders within local authorities, health and social care circles, associated organisations and those with influence
  • Commercial approach to business development identifying new opportunities and ideas to reach more beneficiaries
  • Develop and drive a strategic plan to grow the Welsh region for Ara, in turn increasing the number of beneficiaries
  • Regularly present to key decision makers both speculatively and for proposals
  • Work closely with the existing senior leadership team to deliver on the organisation's objectives
  • Identify new opportunities for products, industries and markets by monitoring trends/opportunities
  • Bids and tenders

Key Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience within a relevant field
  • A passion for the services and recipients that Ara work with
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A commercial and strategic approach to the sector
  • High degree of ownership and ability to work autonomously
