Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate Welsh speaker with a desire to support pupils in their learning journey?

We are looking for a dedicated Welsh speaking Teaching Assistant to work with schools across Rhondda Cynon Taff. This exciting role is ideal for those who are committed to helping students reach their full potential while promoting the Welsh language and culture within the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day teaching and learning activities.
  • Support Welsh- speaking pupils enhance their language skills.
  • Provide one to one or small group support.
  • Help create an inclusive, positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support the classroom teacher with admin tasks and general class management.

Essential Requirements:

  • Fluent in Welsh.
  • Experience with working with children in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about supporting children and promoting the Welsh language.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
  • Registered with EWC (willingness to register).
