Role: Cover Supervisor
Contract: Flexible (full time or part time)
Location: Torquay
Salary: £110-140 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Long-Term Teachers support schools across Exeter and we are seeking dedicated and passionate cover supervisors to join our team. Our schools are dedicated to academic excellence, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
Cover Supervisor Overview:As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of learning during the absence of teaching staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in a secondary school setting, particularly those considering a future career in teaching.
Cover Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment
- Support student with SEN, helping them to overcome barriers to learning
- Implement pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring students stay on task and manage any disruptions
- Collaborate with support staff
- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of all students

About you:
- Has experience working with children, preferably within an educational or coaching setting
- Patient, empathetic and dedicated
- Has strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in their learning
- Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support young people
- Adaptable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to drive and have access to your own car
