Locum Social Worker Children's Safeguarding

Location: Torbay

Pay Rate: Up to 40 per hour

Contract: Locum, Full-time

Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker with a passion for frontline child protection? Torbay is looking for a dedicated Locum Social Worker to join their Children's Safeguarding team, providing vital support to vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex caseload within child protection, CIN, and court proceedings.
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement safeguarding interventions.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • Attend child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and court hearings when required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience in frontline child protection within a statutory setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Children Act, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and other relevant legislation.
  • Excellent risk assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
