Children's Social Work Team Manager - Children with Disabilities Service - Torbay

Location: Hybrid working

Pay Rate: Up to 46 per hour pus travel / accommodation allowance up to 150 per week

Are you an experienced Team Manager looking for a rewarding leadership role within a dedicated Children with Disabilities (CWD) service? We are seeking a passionate and skilled Children's Social Work Team Manager to oversee a team supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and professional development to staff.
  • Work in partnership with families, health professionals, education providers, and other key agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
  • Monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to service development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience managing a Children with Disabilities team within a statutory setting.
  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and SEND frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
