An exciting opportunity to join one of the finest Property groups in the South West in one of their South Hams offices as an experienced Financial Controller has opened up. This is a rare opportunity with a highly competitive salary, commensurate with experience, in the region of £30-40,000 per annum.

Our client is a highly reputable firm covering Estate Agency, Lettings & Property Management, Agricultural & Professional Services. An opportunity has become available to join as a Financial Controller.

The role would suit someone with senior-level experience and the applicant would need accountancy qualifications as the role is heavily finance orientated.

The role will be covering:

  • Company finances and accounting including rent accounts and reconciliation
  • End of year company accounts and tax filing
  • Payroll
  • Dealing with any legal issues
  • Dealing with insurance renewals and claims
  • Following and dealing with the company complaints procedure
  • Managing cash income and banking
  • Office visits and staff queries
  • Attending board meetings
  • Other related matters as required

The ideal candidate will be dependable, confident and meticulous in following and also implementing systems and procedures. You do not need property experience although some would be an advantage. This role would be based in their Totnes office and working hours are Monday to Friday 8.45 - 5.30pm, no weekends but occasionally you may be required to work outside core hours for emergency matters.
