We are seeking a QC Technician to join our Quality Control department. This role is crucial for supporting method development, new product introduction, stability management, and assisting analysts with project testing. You will report directly to the QC Project Team Leader and play an integral part in maintaining our laboratory services to the highest standards.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan and prioritise your own workload in alignment with Team Leader guidance and customer requirements, adapting as necessary.
  • Manage the booking and dispatch of stability and non-routine/project samples into QC systems and to subcontracted laboratories.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations, prepare reagents, and perform basic sample analysis following documented procedures while adhering to Health and Safety and GMP standards.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed diligently within your duties.
  • Participate in required training sessions and maintain effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and other departments.
  • Assist in managing the laboratory’s consumables and waste streams, and handle administrative duties such as data collection, trending, drafting customer quotes, and record archiving.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of technical documentation, including specifications, test methods, and risk assessments.
  • Support the Project Analysis Team Leader in managing stability programmes and assist the QC Manager with Health & Safety projects.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement activities to enhance laboratory standards and liaise with the Quality Management team to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Take proactive ownership of your performance and professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a laboratory setting or QC (Quality Control) setting would be beneficial but not essential
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Proficient in handling administrative and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
