We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Site Manager to join a leading nationwide housebuilder. The role is based on an exciting residential development project in Norfolk, involving the construction of high-quality traditional brick and block homes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth progress of construction activities.
  • Supervise sub-contractors and trades, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor progress against the project schedule, addressing any potential delays or issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on completed works, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Enforce health and safety policies on-site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and quality inspections.
  • Support the Site Manager in client and consultant interactions, attending progress meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally working on traditional brick and block housing projects.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations and health and safety legislation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain them).
  • Full UK driving license.
