Finance Assistant

Location: Tring

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (office-based with one remote day per week)

Salary: £26,000-£28,000 (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join a dedicated team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with clients, manage their financial processes and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving incoming invoices and submitting to clients for approval and PO requests
  • Raising sales invoices, handling purchase and sales ledgers with expertise
  • Dealing with contract checking
  • Handling prepayments, managing client funds and credit cards for smaller deposits
  • Dealing with payments using client corporate credit cards
  • Calculating and agreeing commission due
  • Deducting agreed commission, when making payments on behalf of clients
  • Manage payment processing for clients, with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Support the Accounts Manager and Commercial Director in finance-related tasks

What They are Looking For:

Proven experience as a Finance/Accounts Assistant, with a working knowledge of accounting entries

Hands-on expertise in processing invoices and managing purchase/sales ledgers

AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE)

Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, experience with SAGE is a bonus

Excellent communication and customer service skills with a confident telephone manner
