The Training:

Oakensen are committed to helping you develop your skills, both technically and interpersonally, to provide the opportunity for you to further your career as quickly as possible. They care deeply about ensuring you become a highly competent and fully qualified Chartered Accountant.

At work, you will have the opportunity to regularly face new challenges and solve complex problems that may be out of your comfort zone. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly and adapt to a variety of tasks.

In return, there is a structured training plan in place, with a fully study support package to help you gain your ACA qualification as part of a Level 7 Apprenticeship. You will have peer support in the workplace as well as a tailored development plan and regular reviews."

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis, interpreting data, communicating information and providing solutions.
  • Working on a mix of accounting and financial reporting, tax and audit assignments.
  • Preparing financial statement for different entities
  • Preparing tax returns for individuals and companies
  • Auditing accounts for fraud or error
  • Working across a variety of different software packages and helping clients to implement digital solutions

Your Profile:

  • University Degree or predicted degree in any discipline (minimum 2:1)
  • Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Interested in developing a career in accounting and finance
  • Resilient, and committed to pursuing success in both your exams and career

Package:

  • £23,000 base salary plus a quarterly bonus. OTE £27,600
  • Full study support package to complete your ACA qualification plus paid days off for exams
  • 31 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Ongoing training and tuition
  • Quarterly team building events and a social environment
