Oakensen is currently seeking a Trainee Bookkeeper to join their growing team in their Trowbridge office.

The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with processing invoices, receipts, and payments for multiple clients.
• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software tools.
• Prepare basic financial reports to support clients in making informed business decisions.
• Support VAT returns and payroll processing tasks as needed.
• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Over time, apply your growing skills to more complex bookkeeping assignments, accounts and tax return preparation.

With progression, you'll be encouraged to take ownership of tasks and begin interacting with clients to further your communication and interpersonal skills.

What We Are Looking For:

• A minimum of 3 A Levels (Grades 4/C or above) or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English (grade 4/C or above).
• A keen interest in building a long-term career in finance and accountancy.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to work and problem-solving.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning.
