A multinational food business is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a salary of up to £65k, depending on experience.
The role requires at least 3 years of data engineering experience and proficiency in SQL and handling large datasets.
Responsibilities include extracting data from databases, working on ETLs, and leading the development of data infrastructure.
Candidates should also have front-end experience and the ability to simplify data sources and build appropriate data models.
The position is hybrid, based in Trowbridge, requiring attendance in the office three days a week.

Senior Data Engineer

Up to £65k (dependent upon experience)

A multinational food business is looking for a senior data engineer to work across multiple areas of data

THE COMPANY

The company is a multinational food business who have been established for over 30 years- delivering food both to businesses where food isn't their speciality or main focus and customers who need quick and convenient meals. They serve over 400+ customers and are therefore extremely data rich.

ROLE

In this role, you will be:

Extracting from databases and working on cross-functional ETLs
Working across forensic analytics, marketing campaigns and predictive analytics
Leading internal development requirements and looking after the data infrastructure
Understanding the data they have and analysing and understanding the differences in data
Supporting with data model deployment (Databricks and Pyspark)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years data engineering experience
Strong SQL and experience with handling big datasets
Ability to simplify data sources and build right data models
Front end experience- able to structure data and understand end-to-end process
Things that would be a huge plus: Business Analysis experience and Azure exposure
