Reed Food & FMCG have been briefed by an excellent Food Manufacturing business as they seek to find a Continuous Improvement Manager. This role is designed for a proactive leader who can train and develop our teams into Continuous Improvement (CI) thinkers, enhancing efficiency and quality across all departments.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop, implement, and manage a continuous improvement program across all manufacturing teams, focusing on sustainable improvements from quick wins to long-term excellence.
  • Provide training and support to the front-line management team, helping them address medium to long-term issues through root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Work hands-on with various teams to identify and solve potential issues in the manufacturing process, ensuring stability and consistency.
  • Drive a performance culture by motivating staff and aligning their efforts towards business excellence.
  • Utilize modern world-class improvement tools, techniques, and thinking to challenge existing practices and drive change.
  • Maintain project tracking systems, ensuring timely updates and reports are available for business insights.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Significant experience applying LEAN methodology in a FMCG production environment.
  • Proven track record in influencing and developing large, diverse teams.
  • Lean, Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Strong digital proficiency and experience with Lean manufacturing tools such as Standard Work, 5S, SMED, RCA, FMEA, DMAIC, and VSM.
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and monitor performance against deadlines and milestones.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
