Role: Business Development Manager (Defence and Aerospace)
Salary: £60k with OTE of £84k
Location:Trowbridge, 4 days at home with 1 day in the office
Hours:9 am 5.30 pm

The role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a consultancy lead sales role, where you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with key clients in the defence and aerospace sectors. You will leverage your expertise and consultative selling approach to offer tailored solutions that meet our client's needs and support their strategic goals.
The successful candidate will come with a strong Defence network of contacts (Tiers 1-3).
Responsibilities:
Lead the sales efforts in defence and aerospace sectors, identifying new business opportunities and driving sales performance.
Provide consultancy services to clients, understanding their requirements, challenges, and goals, and delivering bespoke solutions.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and meet sales targets.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to ensure a competitive advantage.
Work closely with internal teams, including technical experts, to create tailored solutions that address client requirements.
Lead the creation of compelling proposals, bids, and presentations for prospective clients.
Requirements:
Proven experience in business development and sales, ideally within the defence or aerospace industries.
Strong understanding of the defence/aerospace sector, including key players, trends, and regulations.
Experience managing complex sales cycles and closing large, high-value deals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A proactive and driven approach to identifying new business opportunities.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, business, or related discipline) is a plus.
