The Credit Controller position is part of a small close-knit Accounts team reporting to the Finance Director. Although the primary requirement is for someone to take on full responsibility for Credit Control, the job-holder will also need to become involved in all aspects of accounting, and to provide cover and support for other team members. This is likely to include, for example, purchase invoice processing, bank account reconciliations, and payroll cover.

Responsibilities;
- Take ownership of Credit Control, with a view to optimising cash flow and minimising bad debt risk, whilst building & maintaining excellent relationships with sales personnel and customers.
- Input of data to the Sales ledger on the Epicor ERP system, including liaison with the Sales admin team to oversee the sales invoicing process.
- Provide regular reports to the Finance Director and others on a weekly and monthly basis as required.
- Ensure compliance with credit insurance requirements.
- Expand and develop knowledge of the Epicor ERP system.
- Expand and develop knowledge of other Accounts department functions in order to provide assistance & support to other team members, and to be able to deputise for others when required.

Qualifications;
* Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
* GCSE or equivalent in English Language & Maths.
* Progress towards a qualification such as AAT would be advantageous, but not essential.

Experience;
* Experience of credit control very desirable, but not necessarily essential for a highly motivated individual.
* Experience in a substantial "real world" industrial or commercial environment would be very useful.
* Experience of other Accounts functions.
* Experience of using accounts software and Excel.

* Strong written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
* Enthusiasm, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure, addressing issues in a timely manner and working to resolve them methodically.
