Cardiac Services Manager/Principal Cardiac Physiologist

Full Time - 37.5 Hours

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to further the development of the elective cardiology service join a reputable private hospital in Cornwall

The successful candidate will be brought in to support an amazing team and to further the development of the elective cardiology service with a cardiac cath lab that is about to be fully refurbished with state-of-the-art facilities enabling additional services.

Role

  • Daily management of the Cardiology Service including managing capacity and demand, and dealing with patient issues
  • Supporting the non-clinical support staff in booking and arranging appointments, managing stock
  • Dealing with Consultant queries and supporting the clinical members of the team
  • To participate in the provision the full range of cardiac procedures undertaken within the outpatient setting
  • ECHO accreditation is essential for the role

Qualifications

  • Professional accreditation with BSE and/or HRUK/IBHRE is a necessity for this role
  • Previous management experience including managing a team of staff and managing clinical activity

Desirable:

  • Competent in undertaking non-invasive investigations such as stress echo, treadmills, and pacemaker FU including ILR, CRT, ICD and brady devices
  • Ableto support cath lab lists for elective angiography, PCI and device implant/explant

Skills

  • Able to work under pressure and effectively manage the team as well as working within the team
  • Confident in communicating across disciplines including consultants.
  • Willing to learn to further develop knowledge and skills.
