We're working on behalf of a fantastic special school based in Truro that are looking for a new Learning Support Assistant to join the team for ideally as soon as possible. The school work with a wide range of special needs & disabilities that include SLD, PMLD, ASD, MLD & Complex Needs for ages 2-19.

The needs of the students are at the heart of everything they do - their absolute priority is catering to the needs of each individual student.

The role

You will get the chance to create strong bonds with individual students at the school and work well as part of the team. We are seeking to appoint self-motivated, caring and dedicated Teaching Assistants. As a key member of staff, you will take a pro-active role in the support of the educational and physical needs of the pupils with a focus on an individual’s support. Candidates who can demonstrate experience of working with pupils with ASD or complex behaviour would be at an advantage.

It is essential you have experience of working with special needs & disabilities in some capacity. You must be kind, calm, nurturing, patient and naturally a good team player.
