Long-Term Teachers is recruiting a Learning Tutor for a specialist college located in Truro, Cornwall. About the Role:

  • Position: Learning Tutor

  • Location: Truro, Cornwall

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term-time plus two weeks (40 weeks per year)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students aged 16-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities

  • Support students to develop their skills and confidence

  • Guide Learning Mentors in lesson delivery and provide feedback on student progress

  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Manager to ensure the best outcomes for students

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities in an educational setting is desirable but not essential

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students

  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude towards teaching and learning

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent is preferred
