Associate Building Surveyor - Succession plan to Directorship within 4 years'

An established chartered surveying practice with over a decade of industry expertise is seeking a Associate Building Surveyor to join their dynamic team of 18.

This role is ideal for a Associate Building Surveyor with aspirations for leadership, as it offers a clear path to Directorship within the next 3-4 years, making it a rare opportunity for career advancement within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

The successful Associate Building Surveyor Role

As an Associate Building Surveyor, you will work closely with public sector clients to deliver end-to-end project management, ensuring quality and compliance from inception to completion.

The role includes leading on projects and mentoring junior staff, building on the practice's reputation for delivering effective, sustainable, and community-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Employer's Agent for a variety of public sector projects
  • Lead on design and specification, overseeing the preparation and coordination of all technical documents
  • Manage contract administration to ensure project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and upholding the practice's standards

The ideal Associate Building Surveyor

This position is suited to a proactive and ambitious Associate Building Surveyor with a strong background in the public sector, in a project bias position.

Requirements:

  • MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor (preferred)
  • Proven experience within the public sector, particularly in social housing, education, or healthcare
  • Strong project management and contract administration skills
  • A collaborative and mentoring approach with junior staff
