Design Coordinator

Are you a driven Design Coordinator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor who has a strong track record of delivering high quality projects across the UK is currently looking for a Design Coordinator to join their new 68m industrial project in Tunbridge Wells

About the role

This large-scale industrial project features a substantial groundworks package with 500,000 Sqft of industrial space, as part of a collaborative multi-disciplined team, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of this project.

Responsibilities of the Design Coordinator

  • Assist the Design Manager in Coordinating design activities, ensuring that design work aligns with the project goals, timelines and budgets
  • Manage the flow of design information between project stakeholders, ensuring that drawings and specifications are up-to-date and accurate
  • Conduct design reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements
  • Support the site team by providing technical input
  • Assist in tracking design progress

Requirements for the Design Coordinator

  • Proven experience as a Design Coordinator or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of design processes, construction techniques and industry regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate various stakeholders
  • Proficiency in design software and document management systems
  • Relevant qualifications in architecture or engineering are desirable
