GSL Education Kent is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic PSHE Teacher to undertake a position at a SEN school in Tunbridge Wells. As a PSHE Teacher, you will provide personalised and engaging lessons that promote a love for learning and contribute to the overall development of students in their personal, social, health, and economic education.We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting diverse learners, a strong understanding of the PSHE curriculum, and expertise in working with students who have Special Educational Needs.

As a PSHE Teacher, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Plan to stimulate, relevant, and well-structured lessons for diverse abilities and needs to help all students reach their full potential.
  • Create a person-centred learning environment, empowering students to take ownership of their learning and goals.
  • Promote positive student behaviour, addressing conflicts and incidents according to policy, and encouraging students to take responsibility for their actions.
  • Work with parents and caregivers to ensure that students have a supportive learning environment both at home and school. 
  • Assigning and evaluating assignments, evaluating students' progress, and planning educational activities.
  • Organising outings, after-school clubs, social activities and sports events.

Requirements for the PSHE Teacher role:

  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Possess a driving license and have access to a car (desired).
  • Meet stringent safer recruitment background checks.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Child Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Experience teaching PSHE
  • Have QTS or equivalent
  • SEN experience is not essential but desirable.
