An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Probate Solicitor or CILEx professional to join a highly reputable firm in Tunbridge Wells.With a well-established presence in the legal sector and a strong commitment to employee well-being, this role offers a chance to thrive within a supportive team environment.About the RoleThe successful candidate will have 4-5 years of experience and will ideally come from a private client background with a strong interest in specialising in probate work. The role involves managing a varied and rewarding caseload, with responsibilities that include:
  • Reviewing estate papers and conducting full investigations into asset values and liabilities.
  • Preparing Inheritance Tax Returns and associated estate accounts.
  • Applying for and obtaining the Grant of Probate/Administration.
  • Handling the sale, transfer, or closure of estate assets.
  • Managing estate liabilities, including income and capital gains tax obligations.
  • Setting up trusts created by wills and ensuring accurate distribution of estate assets.
  • Preparing comprehensive Estate Accounts for beneficiaries.
