GSL Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants (TA) to join a supportive school in Tunbridge Wells. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in an inclusive and nurturing environment, supporting students to achieve their full potential.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with students who have additional needs, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience. You will collaborate with teachers and specialists to ensure that each student receives the appropriate care and guidance in their educational journey.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide one-on-one or group support to students with SEN, ensuring their engagement and progress in lessons.
- Support classroom behaviour management to create a productive learning environment.
- Help prepare and adapt learning materials to meet students' needs.
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage confidence and independence.
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and practices.
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic school environment.
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
