Room Leader – Richmond – Immediate start

We are looking for a committed Room Leader with a strong early childhood education background and a passion for working with young children. The role includes creating a nurturing environment, managing educational activities, and ensuring high standards of care and support for each child in our nursery.

The roleAs the Room Leader, you will be developing and implementing engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children aged 0-5 years. You will foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children. You should be confident with communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's learning and development and, overall, be able to observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary.

The ideal candidate The nursery believes the quality of staff is crucial to pupils’ success and therefore you must have the following:

  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to fostering children's development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of managing individual responsibilities effectively
