Health and Safety Manager

Twickenham (due to relocate)

£39,000 - £43,000

I am currently working with an amazing company based in Twickenham who are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to come in for a 12-14 month period to cover Maternity Leave. This role covers 3 parts of the business – Health and Safety , Admin & Reception and Facilities management, however health and safety is the main part of this position

In this role you will also line manage 2 individuals so previous leadership skills are needed.

For this role you need to have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, be a confident communicator, high attention to detail and a H&S qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.

Health and Safety Manager duties:

  • Schedule and create agendas for H&S Committee Meetings
  • Update H&S policies, Risk Assessments, Method statements, and process documentation
  • Schedule annual Audits and Fire Risk Assessment
  • Action any safety recommendations from insurers, landlord or local authority.
  • H&S onboarding for new employees
  • Conduct H&S inductions to new employees, visitors, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Arrange external training when required
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Managers
  • Oversee building management requirements
  • Oversee the reception area working closely with the Receptionist
  • More duties to cover on job description
