Job Title- Lift Engineer

Location- London and the South

Salary- £35,000 - £50,000

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruitingfor a Lift Engineer to carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc).

Key Duties

  • To rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
  • Checking the lift function as part of a maintenance regime: checks to include speed, motor start/stop, weight, noisetemperature and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.
  • Carry out the routine inspection and adjustment in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift and complete service documentation.
  • Carrying out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service. Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information.
  • Employees are required to carry out all works in accordance with the Company’s Quality Corporate policy.
  • Employees are required to attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills.
  • All employees are required to work in accordance with the Company’s Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements
  • Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to its safety management system.

Key Requirements

Experience in Lift Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Liftmaintenance or equivalent.
  • Basic Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including Multi-Brand Equipment.
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving License.
