We are supporting a company based in Uckfield with recruiting for Head of HR, paying between 60k-70k Per Annum (DOE). The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm. This is a hybrid working with 1 day per week working from home and due to company location, you must be able to drive.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Developing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the business strategy
  • Partnering with senior management to understand the business's HR and talent strategy
  • Leading HR projects and initiatives that promote a culture of engagement and high performance
  • Overseeing the recruitment process and developing onboarding and training programmes
  • Managing performance processes, ensuring constructive feedback and development plans to employees
  • Handling employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary actions in a fair manner
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of compensation and benefits programmes
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and UK employment laws & regulations are followed
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and reports and presenting reports to senior management when required
  • Drafting employee documentation regarding salary, disciplinary, sickness, or contract related issues
  • Monitoring probation periods and communicate with staff as appropriate
  • Managing leavers and ensuring pay and benefits are processed correctly
  • Promoting learning and professional development within the organisation
  • Supporting the business's ambition to remain and improve the B-Corp credentials, providing support as required to ensure all information, policies and procedures are up to date and in-line with the ESG and B-Corp requirements

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 8-9 year's experience in a similar role
  • Highly self-motivated with an ability to take own initiative
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic
