Job Role: CAMHS Practitioner/Social Worker/Community Nurse
Location: Telford or Shrewsbury
Working period: Full-time
Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
Assignment Period: 3 months (12 weeks)
About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with mental health challenges? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CAMHS Practitioner/Social Worker/Community Nurse to join our BeeU Core Mental Health Team in Telford or Shrewsbury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments for young people referred to the BeeU service.
- Provide specialist care planning and interventions in collaboration with service users, carers, and multiagency professionals.
- Hold a caseload, delivering personcentred, evidence-based treatments.
- Develop and implement risk assessments and management plans.
- Contribute to clinical service development and health promotion activities.
- Maintain accurate records and input data into clinical systems.
- Offer supervision, training, and mentorship to junior staff and students.
What We Are Looking For:
- A Registered Mental Health Professional on the NMC or HCPC Register.
- At least one year of post-registration experience, with evidence of formal training at diploma/degree level.
- Experience with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- Ability to work autonomously in a community setting, making informed clinical decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with service users, carers, and multi-agency professionals.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
