Location: Ullapool/Remote

Summary:

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Assistant to join a small and friendly Finance Team on a full-time permanent basis. Remote/hybrid working is on offer with the minimum requirement to be office based in Ullapool one day per week. Previous experience in a busy accounts office, whilst desirable, is not necessary as full training and support will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for either a candidate with experience or looking for a change in career, or for someone who has just left full-time education and is looking for a career in an accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage the Finance mailbox ensuring all incoming emails are dealt with in a timely manner, liaising with suppliers and colleagues to resolve queries.

Process all incoming invoices from suppliers, ensuring approvals and coding are correct.

Ensure all invoices are posted in the accounts within month end deadlines.

Process invoices paid by direct debit.

Reconcile supplier statements.

Support the preparation of the weekly supplier payments for review in accounts software and import to bank.

Send remittances to suppliers to confirm payments made.

Support purchasing team in ad-hoc purchasing.

Skills and Experience:

No formal qualifications required.

Previous accounts experience preferred.

IT literate, excel skills would be advantageous.

Strong attention to detail.

Good communication skills.

Accuracy and honesty.

Adaptable with a willingness to learn.

Ability to prioritise tasks.

Ability to work on own or part of a team using own initiative Benefits.
