• Annual Salary: £35k - £45k, dependent on experience• Location: Barrow-in-Furness• Job Type: Full-time, PermanentReeds outstanding client is seeking a dedicated Technical Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in HACCP, food safety, and BRC standards, along with some health and safety knowledge. The position requires a proactive individual who can maintain and enhance our compliance frameworks to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.

Day-to-day of the role:• Implement and manage HACCP and food safety protocols to ensure compliance with BRC and other relevant standards.• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures.• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to food safety, HACCP plans, and health and safety policies.• Provide training and support to staff on food safety practices, HACCP procedures, and health and safety guidelines.• Collaborate with management and production teams to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of technical and safety compliance.• Stay updated with the latest regulations and standards in food safety and health and safety to ensure compliance and best practices.Required Skills & Qualifications:• Proven experience in a technical role within the food industry, focusing on HACCP, food safety, and BRC standards.• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of the organisation.• Ability to train and motivate staff on compliance-related topics.• Relevant certifications in food safety, HACCP, BRC, and health and safety are highly desirable.Benefits:• Competitive salary range of £35k - £45k, dependent on experience.• Opportunity to work in a critical and impactful role within the food industry.• Support for professional development and continuous learning.• Dynamic and supportive work environment.To apply for this Technical Officer position, please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in this role.
