Join a leading manufacturing business based in the picturesque South Lakes. With over 30 years of experience in their industry, they are market leaders within the UK and Europe. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our client's business and oversee the financial operations and contribute to their continuous growth.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage and oversee a team of 4 in the accounting department.
- Oversee all accounting functions within the business, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly budgets, forecasts, and overview reports.
- Draft management accounts including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Liaise with external accountants for audit and compliance matters.
- Conduct bank account reconciliations and manage daily cash flow.
- Handle monthly and annual payroll tax reconciliations and tax filings.
- Research and implement practices to ensure compliance with legislative changes.
- Maintain the company’s bank accounts and ensure optimal utilisation of resources within the accounting department.
- Oversee the audit process, ensuring all financial operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Qualifications in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and spreadsheet skills.
- Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing a team effectively.
