Our production team based at our steel fabrication facility in Ulverston currently has an opening for a Production Engineer. Reporting to our Production Manager, you will be responsible for delivering larger strategic projects whilst also implementing, smaller, process improvements.

Duties include:

Research and implementation of new plant, equipment and processes.

Use of 3D CAD software to create detailed models and drawings of jigs, fixtures and production equipment.

Working closely with Production team on process and quality control through implementation of corrective actions in a Lean manufacturing environment using our digital manufacturing execution system (MES).

Working closely with our Technical team around prototyping and testing of new products prior to release on to the international market.

Guaranteeing customer service in everything you do, providing expert advice to your internal customers in friendly manner to deliver service, with the desire to exceed customer expectations.

Essential:

Inventor or Solidworks experience or similar essential.

You must be able to think practically and creatively, innovatively and have impeccable attention to detail.

Desirable:

Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes desirable with the ability to schedule workload and problem solve effectively.
