An experienced Finance and Accounts Manager is needed to join the team at this established utilities company based in their office in Umberleigh on a full-time permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting expert - Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of monthly and quarterly reporting with analysis
- Cash flow management - Manage the company's cash flow, forecasting and monitoring requirements to ensure sufficient liquidity and timely payment of debts
- Product analysis specialist - Conduct quarterly reviews of product costing and report significant changes to management
- Compliance overseer - Ensure adherence to accounting standards, lead the annual accounts process and manage the annual audit
- Regulatory specialist - Oversee accounting, ensuring the business is compliant with all tax and other financial legislation
- Tax administration - Ensure all HMRC submissions are delivered timely and accurately including preparation, review and submission of VAT returns
- Risk management - Oversee all balance sheet control and reconciliation, identifying and managing financial risks including credit risk, market risk and operational risks
- Group transaction monitor - Track and review transactions between group companies
- Contract manager - Review and manage all company contracts such as insurances, pension and other general policies
- Inventory controller - Prepare and oversee general stock takes
- Systems specialist - Maintain and implement strong financial systems and controls across the business
- Payroll administrator - Prepare and oversee monthly and weekly payroll processes
Required Skills:
- Â Level 3 and 4 AAT qualification or equivalent
- Experience with Xero accounting software
- Excellent system and reporting skills
- Proven experience of financial controls and processes
- Demonstrated ability in financial forecasting and planning
- Positive attitude, friendly and approachable manner
- Resilience and ability to multi-task, work independently/flexibly and as part of a team
- Discreet, professional and team-oriented approach
