HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced and motivated Press Operator to join our client's family run animal feed manufacturers based in Yeovil. They celebrate 125 years being one of the UK's leading and trusted animal feed manufacturers.

The successful candidate will play a crucial part in meeting production demands and standards, operating and maintaining press machinery and monitoring quality of products.

General Duties:

  • Operate within Health & Safety requirements and all relevant company procedure, especially appropriate sections of the company Quality Manual.
  • Supervision of bulk material intake and correct designation to appropriate bins
  • Completion of Daily Production schedule.
  • Completion of Daily Handover sheets at end of shift.
  • Monitoring quality of product at regular intervals throughout the manufacturing process, including physical quality of finished product
  • Notifying Warehouse Operator when product is ready for packaging/Loading
  • Ensuring finished product bins are completely empty to re-fill and to record on production schedule. Allocation and recording of finished product to designated bins.
  • Liaise with Maintenance Manager and assist with on-going preventative maintenance as required
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as may be delegated from time to time by the Director or Managers of the Company
  • Efficiency and economy of tote bag operation

Requirements:

  • Physically capable (role involves lifting and standing)
  • Must be able to work all rotating shift patterns
  • Previous manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred
  • Must be eager to learn with a positive attitude
