Working Hours: Full time role, working with extended working periods away in the UK or overseas on site
Summary:
Myclient installs bespoke solution to the event industry for sporting, cultural and social events across the UK and Europe. The Site Manager operates on site working with the team and site contractors delivering the complete project to the client. The Site Manager is responsible and accountable for the installation and making local decisions that may define the successful delivery of the project.
Roles:
- Ensure the delivery plan is resourced and provisioned correctly liaising with the Operations Team
- Managingsite teams and coordinating activity with other site contractors
- Managing all company assets and materials whilst on site alongside their effective use
- Reporting to the Project Manager decisions and progress on site
- Act as primary point of contact for the client on site
- Apply decision making to the project defined by local circumstances
- Ensure all site and team are applying best working practices for site safety and sustainability
- Accountable for delivery and maintaining site presence over the delivery of the project
Requirements:
- Capability in all aspects of site installation carpentry, rigging, lining and finishing
- Managing a team of installation and manufacturing specialists focussing on efficiency, professionalism and performance
- Communicate clear and precise instructions to delivery teams
- Receive deliveries and account for all materials on site
- Supervise and manage the safe operation of all site equipment
- Administer the onsite team and report on attendance, performance and issues affecting the delivery of the project or impact on the business
- Professional qualification in site management and safety is desirable (SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH)
- Review, reflect and report on individual, team and project performance with a view of continuously improving delivery
