Location: Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Igloo is recruiting an Automotive Platform Manager on behalf of our client in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and optimise all support activities, ensuring the facility operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance.

The Role:

As the Platform Manager, your mission is to organise, coordinate, and control all support activities, ensuring proper maintenance of the site while adhering to H&S rules and customer standard operating procedures. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and managing budgets for site operations, monitoring expenses and making adjustments as required.
  • Managing the daily planning and resource allocation for the yard and administration teams, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Monitoring supplier activities and maintain strong relationships to ensure service quality.
  • Ensuring site documents, including working instructions, are accurate and up to date.
  • Overseeing maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Managing waste streams, focusing on cost efficiency and environmental sustainability.
  • Providing accurate customer and operational reports and ensure robust IT systems data management.
  • Supporting site safety policies and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Driving operational efficiency improvements and implement corrective actions as needed.

The Person:

  • Proven experience in managing operational or administrative teams.
  • Strong budget management and resource planning skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working instructions and operational procedures.
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with FVL IT tools (e.g., XDMS and NOMAD) is beneficial but not essential.
