With a diverse team operating in a newly refurbished office, over the last 5 years the company has transformed themselves into a company that can support clients throughout the full life cycle of their projects, from survey and design, through to engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of railway infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare technical drawings, models, and calculations using CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Support feasibility studies, risk assessments, and site investigations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Conduct research and analysis to support project requirements.
- Ensure designs meet health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Attend site visits and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders as required.
Key skills and requirements:
- A degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or Railway Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD or similar).
- Basic knowledge of relevant railway standards and design principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
