Maintenance Engineer

£35,000 plus shift allowance which is £12 per shift

Uttoxeter

36 hours per week Mon – Thurs 13:30 – 23:00 (with flexibility to cover AM shift if required)

We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a highly experienced team at our client’s site in Uttoxeter. Reporting to the Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and effective running of all plant and facilities on site. You will act to diagnose and troubleshoot faults and rectify in a safe and timely manner to reduce production downtime. Planned maintenance tasks will be carried out to a high standard and any faults must be either rectified or reported in a timely manner. A good level of computer literacy is also required to update records of faults and planned maintenance on the computer maintenance management program.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on the plant.
  • Adherence to the PPM schedule and accuracy of recording findings /requirements working against check sheet, with prompt escalation where required.
  • Fault finding and rectification.
  • Responsible for the smooth running of all facilities, plant and equipment at all times
  • Maintenance on a range of heavy process plant.
  • Adherence to day-to-day engineering procedures.  
  • General maintenance tasks in support of property care.
  • Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times, with an understanding of risk assessments and permits.
  • Being available for call-outs out of hours when required.  
  • Additional duties as deemed reasonable and necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Skills and experience:

  • Relevant Mechanical or Electrical engineering  qualification or NVQ Leve2 or higher in Electrical or Mechanical degree
  • Knowledge and relevant practical maintenance engineering experience
