Major Talent are looking for a Transport Planner to join a long-standing food company in Staffordshire. As a Transport Planner you will aim to minimise costs through efficient transport planning.
As a Transport Planner, you will:
- Provide efficient transport plan that meets customer demand
- Optimize transport costs in collaboration with third party logistics supplier.
- Record all outbound vehicle movements and associated costs
- Raising PO's for transport costs and resolving inconsistences
- Processing transport claims and updating trackers
- SAP housekeeping to include monitoring & clearing of information documents, stock control, and packaging queries.
- Provision of holiday and absence cover in customer services.
- Use of customer portals to book and manage orders.
- Flag potential order shorts an liaise with planning team to resolve.
- Manage stakeholder expectations
- Consolidate deliveries
A successful Transport Planner will have:
- Experience within Transport Planning
- Experience using SAP & Excel
- Work to deadlines and have great problem-solving skills
Salary - 29,250 per annum
