Resourcing/Redeployment Lead

JOB PURPOSE

To lead on the internal and external recruitment processes across the organisation, ensuring that both the candidates and line managers experience a positive experience. You will oversee the recruitment work stream and on-boarding process for the local authority. The postholder will lead the delivery of the redeployment initiatives as part of the transformation process, and all relevant redeployment activity in accordance with the clients redeployment procedure.

You will ensure that recruitment and redeployment is conducted in an effective, timely and efficient manner with professional service always delivered. Provide expertise to internal stakeholders regarding recruitment strategies and advertising options and being the internal expert regarding Hillingdon ATS systems and recruitment operation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the team to process recruitment requests as they are approved, ensuring adverts are well written and placed in appropriate places and take responsibility for back-office administration of the entire recruitment process.
  • As a user of ATS ensure that the system is used to its full advantage and that all inputs are of a high quality. Provide coaching on the system to hiring managers as required.
  • Ensure all approved roles are worked on in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the writing of compelling job advertisements for placement internally and externally e.g. Client website, and job boards that position our client as an employer of choice.
  • Ensure that all hiring managers follow the clearly defined recruitment process, and that any deviation is followed up with training. You will be responsible for managing stakeholder queries and process resolutions.
  • Assessing vacancies for redeployment suitability before going to advert and liaising with relevant HR business partners regarding the internal talent pool. Coordinating the internal redeployment process with affected employees and communicating with stakeholders.
  • In conjunction with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager ensure all recruitment processes are based on best practice and deliver an inclusive approach and ultimately a diverse workforce across all areas of protected characteristics.
  • Support hiring managers during the interview and feedback process, providing a coaching approach to ensure the highest levels of quality are delivered.
  • Deliver to the agreed service level agreements (SLA’s) for recruitment services into the business service areas.
  • Oversee on-boarding and liaise with HR Operations as required to ensure that pre-employment checks and onboarding process is underway for candidates.
  • Run reports from the ATS as required.
  • Where directed, take a direct sourcing approach for specific roles as directed by the Talent Lead and ensure a proactive approach is taken to sourcing for key roles.
  • Work with HR colleagues on specific recruitment campaigns as required.
  • Ad hoc project assignments as directed by the Head of HR.

  • CIPD qualification - Desirable
  • Recognised Recruitment qualification e.g. REC - Desirable

STATUTORY or ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience and understanding of the recruitment process and redeployment at a senior level. - Essential

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience within recruitment, either in-house or agency. - Essential
  • Experience of managing redeployment initiatives. - Desirable
  • Experience of maximising recruitment systems and processes - Essential
  • Ability to manage and lead a team and achieve continual process improvements in recruitment and retention. - Desirable

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
