We have a great new opportunity for a Part Maker and Pack Operative to work in a large factory setting just outside of Uxbridge.

This company is a global market leader within the aerospace/defence sector.

The hours are 08.00-16.45 Monday to Friday and 08.00-12.00 Fridays

The salary is £26,000-£27,000 with great progression and fantastic benefits including;

1.To part mark components and assemblies using various methods (Ink Marking, Laser     Engraving) in line with drawing requirements.

2. To pack parts for despatch such that:

• Parts are packaged and prepared in accordance with laid down procedures.

• Parts are appropriately labelled and marked and accompanied by appropriate documentation.

3. To accurately interpret assembly drawings and work instructions so that Part Numbers, Drawing

Issues, relevant ADR’s, process specification and finishes can be accurately identified and applied.

4. Establish from the route card the type of information and method of marking to be used. Obtain serial numbers from the Cell Leader or Quality department to ensure traceability of products and components.

5. To undertake self-inspection (and where authorised apply an inspector’s stamp) and quality check of work undertaken in accordance with laid down quality standards and procedures.

6. To assist in the successful implementation of on-going Lean Initiatives including:

• 5S activities

• Continuous Improvement programmes

7. To be conversant with and undertake SAP transactions applicable to the department.

8. To handle materials, goods and components carefully and comply with safety regulations so that:

• Components are not damaged through mishandling or faulty stowing, stacking or packing

• Accidents do not occur through negligence or mishandling.
