Role and Responsibilities:

As our ICT Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality ICT education to our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and Delivering Lessons: Create and implement engaging and differentiated ICT lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of our students.

  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique learning styles and requirements.

  • Assessment and Progress Tracking: Assess students' progress regularly, maintain accurate records, and report on their achievements and areas for improvement.

  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, engagement, and respect.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to each student's education.

  • Use of Technology: Integrate assistive technologies and other digital tools to enhance learning experiences and accessibility for students with special needs.

  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and ICT teaching.

  • Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies to support their learning journey.

  • School Community Involvement: Contribute to the wider school community through participation in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff meetings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching ICT, preferably within a special needs or inclusive education setting.

  • Understanding of the specific needs of students with Autism, SEMH, and complex needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with special needs.
