Technical Business Analysts x2 required, on an initial 6 month contract (Inside IR35) to oversee the business analysis activities on large – mid scale IT digital transformation and technical projects.

The Technical Business Analysts will participate in the implementation of IT/Digital solutions through:

  • Assisting with configuration and set up and mapping processes onto a chosen solution.
  • Developing and documenting working practices and procedures in conjunction with key business sponsors and SME’s
  • Defining system configuration and set up
  • Assisting with the development of test scenarios and scripts
  • Participating in functional testing.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience of working as a Business Analyst within the Education sector
  • Proven experience of a variety of Business Analysis methods (e.g.  interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process analysis, user stories, task and workflow analysis and facilitation) to elicit requirements, document business processes and identify opportunities for process and performance improvement.
  • Experience of documenting current (as-is) and future (to-be) state processes to support business change and IT/Digital implementations via a thorough understanding of business processes, strategies, priorities and constraints.
  • Experience of producing proposals for new solutions and service improvements for both technical and non-technical audiences; to include technical documents based on the PMO framework and process flowcharts.
  • Experience of delivering the relevant documentation as required, including functional and business requirements specification; user stories; process and system documentation; documentation for formal procurement procedures.
  • Experience of preparing and creating accurate test plans, managing the testing process and participating in user acceptance testing. Working with the business sponsors to define acceptance criteria for new solutions.

Desirable:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Experience with formal tendering/procurement procedures
  • Experience working on customer focussed transformation projects/programmes
  • Knowledge and understanding of ITIL
