Ocean freight Import Operator 35-38k Uxbridge

My client a leading Freight organisation are now seeking an additional person for their smashing team. This position will commence in January 2025. Benefits include a smashing close knit work environment, 20 days holiday, 4% pension contribution, potential of an end of year bonus as well as healthcare and well being support. Working hours 8.30-5pm.

The successful candidate will have high working standards and have experience with Ocean imports- any air imports experience will be a bonus!

Role duties

  • Independent handling of shipments in the role of Ocean freight Imports in accordance with quality standards (among other things documentation, booking, shipment control, transport insurance, accounting and customs handling)
  • Customer support in conjunction with the Sales Department including occasional client visits when required
  • Handling of complaints in line with BIFA Terms and Conditions including correct KPI recording
  • Communication with the UK, Overseas offices and agents
  • Checking of job file reporting, accuracy and profitability
  • Focus on ensuring most cost-effective service solutions are being used without risk to service levels
