We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Category Manager to lead and manage the co-manufacturing partnerships. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the external manufacturing relationships align with business objectives, deliver cost efficiencies, and maintain the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate with have strong negotiation skills and excellent stakeholder management. The relationships carved with large, independent manufacturing partners will be key in influencing the supplier selection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for co-manufacturing, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships to optimise cost, quality, and service levels.
  • Analyse large amounts of data and creatively problem solve.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives where necessary.
  • Drive risk management initiatives and ensure business continuity through effective supplier management.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in procurement and supplier management, ideally within a co-manufacturing or outsourced production environment.
  • Experience working in a global FMCG business would be highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of delivering cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain processes, risk management, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within manufacturing procurement.
  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; MCIPS qualification desirable.
