Your new companyYou will be working for a global FMCG business with offices all over Europe, where you will be leading their UK Procurement division. This business puts sustainability at the forefront of all they do, from supporting farmers and ethical farming practices, to ensuring their products can be recycled as easily as possible.

Your new roleAs a Senior Procurement Manager, you will manage one direct report, supporting them with day-to-day queries and their continuous professional development. You will focus on commercial and marketing categories, two areas that make up the vast bulk of the UK businesses spend. As the company goes through a step change in their approach to procurement, making it mandated, you will lead the charge in rolling this out across your stakeholder base. You will frequently engage with the CFO and wider marketing team to support this transition and will lead procurement of events, PR and Media agencies alongside POS production, social media etc.

What you'll need to succeedYou will need to be a seasoned procurement professional with a strong understanding of the marketing landscape and the various subcategories that would fall under your remit. You should be an expert communicator who can confidently influence and manage a diverse and international stakeholder base. People management experience is not a pre-requisite, but a desire and willingness to take this step is crucial. You should be able to commute to the Uxbridge office 3 days a week. A desire and ability to improve processes and effect change will be vital in allowing you to hit the ground running and make a real impact in this role.
